Business Continuity Plan As discussed in our last Freight & Trade Committee meeting, one of the greatest challenges we face in developing a port-wide Continuity of Operations Plan is the large number of businesses who have no Business Continuity Plan. This plan is critical in helping a business recover from any type of disaster. The attached sample Business Continuity Plan is a very basic document to assist in gathering critical information to ensure personnel, physical, and information security and reconstitution in the event of a disaster. This document will help you create your own Business Continuity Plan after answering a few simple questions and will take only 15 minutes to complete. Freight and Trade Committee to meet March 7th

The JMTX Freight and Trade Committee The committee has elected Ms. Sharon Dixon of Dixon, Smith & Associates, Inc. to chair the committee. The committee has agreed to meet on a quarterly basis on the first Wednesday of March, June, September and December. Meeting will usually be scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and will be held at the JAXPORT Port Central Office Building Boardroom at 2831 Talleyrand Ave. The Freight and Trade Committee is now an available interest group within the JMTX Email Information System. |
Strategic Priority
The success of our port relies on the efficient landside movement of
cargos to and from our port facilities. That movement depends on
proper cargo documentation and compliance with import/export and other
Federal regulations. The critical port stakeholders who manage
these freight and trade issues are an integral part of the Marine
