Strategic Priority

Success of the Jacksonville marine transportation industry and the economic benefit it supports is directly tied to the quality and capability of the marine transportation infrastructure of the port and the vessel support services provided. By representing a wide section of marine interests, JMTX can evaluate and recommend improvements for the infrastructure and support services. In carrying out this role, JMTX will:

· Provide a forum for port wide evaluation of existing infrastructure and services and develop recommendations for improvement.

· Serve as a voice for the port at regional and national forums in support of active port infrastructure improvements and funding.

Port and vessel Coordinating Infrastructure

The JMTX provides coordinating infrastructure through information systems to assist our members and other stakeholders. The JMTX Maritime On-Line system tracks vessel scheduled and actual arrival and departure time and locations.

JMTX Maritime On-Line

The JMTX Maritime On-Line system delivers port and vessel schedule information including forecast and historical vessel movement information. The Web-based On-Line system is replacing the current e-mail reports system and allows subscribers to generate their own reports as well a research vessel traffic information based on their own criteria.

Subscription is available for $100/mo. A full subscription is included in the annual Corporate Level Membership ($1000).
